The 3DS was released at midnight on the 24th of march 2011 in the UK. Over the launch weekend a whopping 113,000 were sold making it the fastest ever selling games console so far in history beating the Xbox 360 Elite and the Sony PS3. We got ours from the midnight launch at our local game store and picked up Nintendogs + cats, Ridge Racer 3D and Tom Clancy'S Splinter Cell 3D. We were amazed at all the built in games such as faceraiders and the augmented reality cards. Then came Nintendogs (+cats!!) we were a bit disappointed that you cannot choose a cat to start off with - they get unlocked later in the game.

 3DS a headache for Nintendo?

The British news paper The Sun (yes 'The liars that lie about everything) are saying that 3DS 'S are being returned in there thousand to retailers because they cause headaches and nausea. Here all our reviewers have completed every launch game and used all of the 3DS'S built in software and not  a single headache between us. I played ridge racer non-stop for 5 hours and nothing. Nintendo have released a report saying that less than 2,000 have been returned in the UK mainly because they are broken Nintendo UK themselebes have recived no complaints from retailers only from around 150 have officially complained. most of these people were long sighted therefore it was not suitable for them to play with the 3D on max. What do people have against Nintendo? Tell us what you think on the forum!

Pilotwings Resort - The game that launches you into 3D?

We here at Nintendo Gamer Have just received our first copy of Pilotwings Resort (after waiting a month!) and we are ready to bring you one of our 1st own reviews! So far all the reviews on this website (Ridge Racer, Nintendogs + Cats and Super street Fighter IV 3D Edition) have been borrowed from other gaming websites (with permission of course!) So far On PWR (Pilotwings Resort) we have collected all the information points on free flight and have completed Novice and Bronze flight classes. We have also brought you the best screen shots from our PWR experience below:

Pilotwings  Resort is one of the first games I have reviewed as a trainee journalist, so please don't expect too much from me! The game play is pritty much the same as on Wii Sports Resort... We have collected all the information points already and flown down the volcano on the rocket belt. There are only 3 aircraft: The airplane, Rocket belt (jet pack) and the handglider. The free flight mode is OKish you are limited to 2 minuets play time (witch is barley enghough time to reach the Dinosaur island (mini golf island). The handglider does offer the oppertunity to take 2 pictures (a few more would be nice!) like the ones above. There are 3 times that you can do a free flight in: Day, Evning and Night that get unlocked with the more Ibformation points you collect. Yes the freeflight mode could be better in a few ways but the missions are 'up in the air' with all the best mini games (well maybe not ballon burster,,-damn you!) such as the mission on the Golden novice were a car is driving across the bridge and your mission is to follow it into the tunnel. A maybe buy for the 3DS that could be completed in around 8 hours. The use of the 3DS' tech is very limited with this game: It uses all aspects of the controls, it is in 3D (Brilliant Graphics!) unfortunately there is no online leader board and does not use spotpass or streetpass™.

NGAMER UK VERDICT:

Great mini-games, brilliant graphics, possibly the best pilotwings ever! Slight disappointment about the small range of tasks and feels slightly limited but one of the best games to test the 3D ability to the max. A must buy for the 3DS!  80%
